YAFA - York Anti Free-speech Association?
Yesterday a guy called Steve McClean, one of the animal rights protestors from the failed series of food fascist demonstrations outside The Blue Bicycle restaurant on Fossgate, said, in the comments to a very silly letter from Alan Swain,

I do recall telling you that I would be there, and would be more than happy to talk with you and discuss the cruelty that goes on. I was there Rusty, and plainly visible for all to see. So were the police.
You say you walk or cycle past 3 or 4 times a day? why didn’t you stop and talk to us?
Well, in answer to that question, all I will say is that I don’t recall any invitation to stop for a chat, as if I did I may well have done so. However I still maintain one of them called me a “tosser”, and after what I discovered this morning I have no desire to discuss anything with this group of oppressive fascists.
I registered on the York Action for Animals (YAFA) forum a few weeks ago, purely to see what they chat about and to see if they have any real points to make. I have never posted anything on the site, I simply observed.
When I logged on this morning I was greeted with a message telling me I am banned from the forum. Presumably for having the potential to disagree with them?
All I can say about this group of people is that they clearly have no desire to debate their cause. They simply wish to force their opinions on people without any contrasting views or thoughts tarnishing their extreme beliefs.
Incidentally I do respect their right to have a forum to discuss their causes and beliefs. What I don’t respect is any organisation that oppresses any potential non-believers by silencing them. If you have beliefs, be prepared to debate and defend them!
YAFA are no better than foie-gras farmers. Both of them force feed their victims.
And for the record I had no desire to post on your silly forum!

Forgive the ignorance Rusty poo’s but whats the beef with the Blue Bicycle, surly other restaurants around this city trade in this ‘food’
Could it be that the are in the town center as such so it can generate more publicity for their little group?
You have known me for years and i have never eaten meat in this time, but i don’t hang outside restaurants criticizing the latest food horror, all meat is murder so what is worse a bit of goose pate or the exploitation of global resources by capitalist giants like McDonald’s?
